Prayer for my wife please!!
I am sorry blogging has been light. Friday morning at about 3 AM I was woken up to my wife lying by our bed moaning and hardly breathing. I used to be a paramedic and I instantly realized she was having a seizure, a major one at that. 911 was of course called.
She did not have any more seizures in the hospital and they let her go mid morning and we are seeing a neurologist and having some more tests done this week. Please pray for her, her name is Amy. Also pray for my 6 year old son Jacob as he was pretty freaked out about it. Pray for me that I will be patient and wise during this whole thing. These are two traits that usually do not come to mind when you think of me (those of you who know me).
God is good, but between the finances, Amy being sick, job situations and other family issues we are being pressed on in just about every way. I am reminded of 2 Cor 4:6-9
“But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”
I have always fought with the head knowledge vs the heart knowledge of the Bible. I think I am pretty typical of many Christians that way, but boy am I learning the heart knowledge lately.
Blogging might be a little light this next week, but I will try to keep you posted as we learn what is happening.

Carl, hang in there man. Sounds like you are pretty down. In times like that, I remember the verse, all things work to the glory of God for those who believe. I will definitely be praying for Amy, Jacob, and you.

Dear God be with Amy and Carl. Bring them healing. Bring them peace. In all things, your will be done.
